Growing a Greener Broadway Together

    What your donation does

    Millions of New Yorkers and visitors traverse Broadway, where our malls offer them five miles of green space in the middle of the city to pause, sit, and smell the roses (and dogwoods, and asters, and hundreds more native plants).

    All year round, Broadway Mall Association (BMA) ensures these spaces remain vibrant, welcoming, and accessible to all — helping to beautify the neighborhoods along Broadway. Your support sustains this shared landscape and the communities it connects.

    Today, BMA is building something even more ambitious: The Great Green Way — a long-term vision to restore the malls with native plants and create a continuous, climate-resilient corridor for people and urban wildlife. You can help transform these medians into thriving ecological gardens that shape a greener future for New York City.

  • Adopt-A-Bench

    Benches on the Broadway malls are more than a place to sit — each one tells a story, whether honoring a loved one or greeting the city.

    You can adopt a bench for $3,500 to commemorate someone, mark a special occasion, or give a unique gift. Benches are available from 70th to 168th Street — please call 212.491.6470 or email info@broadwaymall.org for details.

    Each bench includes a dedication plaque (2″ x 5½″) with 20–25 words, subject to BMA approval. Benches replicate the classic 1939 World’s Fair design in wood and iron.

    Bench adoptions are tax deductible as permitted by law.

    Matching Gifts

    If your company has a matching gift program, the impact of your gift to the Broadway Mall Association could be doubled or even tripled. Request a matching gift form from your company and send it completed and signed along with your gift.
