110th to 122nd Streets

This area with its seven colleges and universities is the academic capital of New York City including Columbia University, Barnard College, Manhattan School of Music, Union Theological Seminary, Teacher’s College and Bank Street College of Education. The area is also home of St. John the Divine, the world’s largest gothic cathedral and Grant’s Tomb National Monument, where the 18th president is interred, the only president whose final resting place is in New York City.
